PRIVACY POLICY
This privacy policy has been updated to comply with the new GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) effective May 25, 2018 to protect the data of EU citizens. According to the new law, we are obligated to let you know the following information when you sign up for our mailing list:
Q: How do you process my data?
A: When you sign up for our mailing list, you go into a database through a third party service known as MailChimp which makes it easier for marketers and small entrepreneurs like our band to collect leads so we can stay in touch with our followers. The data stays in that system unless the subscriber wants to change their data or have it removed. A subscriber can choose to opt out at any time via the UNSUBSCRIBE link at the bottom of every email. We do not sell your data to any outside companies looking to grow their lists and cold email. It stays in OUR database for our own personal use to distribute email updates about OUR Company that you have given the consent to receive, through our online signup forms. If a subscriber has been inactive (not opening our emails) for a period of over 3 months, we will delete them from our database.
Q: What kind of data is processed and what do you do with my data?
A: We only ever ask for the fields that are absolutely necessary to distribute emails and study our demographic.
NECESSARY DATA FOR MY MAILING LIST SIGNUP FIELDS
- NAME – so we can address the email to you
- EMAIL ADDRESS – so we can send you the email
- AGE & LOCATION – we only ask for these so we are aware of our demographic. That is all.
UNNECESSARY DATA FOR MY MAILING LIST SIGNUP FIELDS
- ADDRESS OR PHONE NUMBER – for fans, we will never ask for your address or phone number because it is not needed to distribute our newsletters. for venues, booking agents, promoters, clients, or anyone who wishes to book us and conduct business requests, we will ask for your phone number and maybe address should you request any promotional materials be physically mailed to you.
- Anything else like race, ethnicity, income, social security number, credit card number, other bank account information.
Q: Who can access the data that I provide to you?
A: I, Justina Carubia (marketing manager) and Halina Ulatowski (band manager) are the only people aside from Mail Chimp that can access your data.
Q: What third party services do you use to process your data?
A: We use Mail Chimp, which offers us a lot of features to help keep our database organized, and also assist in the creation of the newsletters that arrive in your inbox.
Q: How can I see the data that you have on me, make changes to my data and/or request complete removal of my data from your email list database (According to the right to be forgotten)?

Q: What role do you play in the processing of my data?
A: I, Justina Carubia (Marketing Manager) and Halina Ulatowski (band manager) are our data administrators. As data administrators, we collect email addresses through our website forms, as well as live events to later be added to our online database at Mail Chimp. We never use this data for Cold Emailing. It is only used as promised upon your signup – to send you newsletters regarding our current announcements only relevant to our brand – Dancing Dream Abba Tribute Band.
I, Justina Carubia (Marketing Manager) am also a data processor. I keep your email address and information in our database and use them to conduct our newsletter mail outs.

A: Any breach of the DPA will be reported to them, by us through the contact on their website.
Q: How long will you hold on to my data?
A: If you have expressed your will to subscribe to my mailing list and your consent for us to process your data, we are entitled by this consent to process your data until you, the subscriber, withdraw that consent. Again, you can choose to opt out at anytime via the UNSUBSCRIBE button at the end of all of our newsletters.
Q: Do you own my data?
A: NO, we do not own your personal data that I process. Consider it borrowed due to your consent.
